State Schemes

Vision 2020

  • Linking State capital with 2/4-lane highways to all the districts so as to reach Patna within 5 hours from the farthest destination.
  • 2-Laning (7.00m) of all single lane/intermediate lane State Highways.
  • Widening to Intermediate Lane (5.50m) of all single lane Major District Roads.
  • Replacement of SP Bridges/Narrow and Damaged Bridges/Culverts, Causeway by RCC H.L. Bridge.
  • Adequate connectivity to Tourist, Cultural Heritage, Special Agricultural Production Area and important Markets in the State.

State Schemes

  • Most of allocated amount has been proposed for continuing schemes.
  • State Highways & Major District Roads and bridges thereon being upgraded under State Plan and Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) financed by NABARD.
  • Additionally, major projects of roads & bridges are being executed under Asian Development Bank (ADB), LWE, Japan International Co operation Agency (JICA) Central Road Fund (CRF), Border Area Development Programme (BADP), Indo-Nepal Border Road Project, Inter State Connectivity (ISC), Economic Importance (EI) and Additional Central Assistance (ACA).
