About Bihar Fire Services
Bihar Fire Service was established on 03 January 1946. At that time it served the undivided states of Bihar and Jharkhand.
After the formation of Jharkhand, Bihar Fire Service continues to serve all 38 districts, 57 sub-divisions and other important urban centres across Bihar.
Presently, 107 Fire Stations are operational throughout the State. Bihar Fire Service operates under the Bihar Fire Service Act, 1948 and the Rules of 1955. To address rapid urbanization and high-rise buildings, the Bihar Fire Services Act, 2014 was implemented across the State.
