About Us

Food and Consumer Protection Department of Bihar State works towards food security to poor people and supply of food grains and other items at subsidized rate to the PHH and Antyodaya families. To control price, black marketing and hoarding of essential commodities. To control adulteration of Petrol and Diesel. To ensure proper distribution of Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). To provide minimum support price of grains to the farmers through procurement. To Supply subsidized Kerosene Oil to the consumers. For Protection of consumer's rights and their welfare.

Vision

The VISION of Food and Consumer Protection Department of Bihar encourages the citizens to make informed decisions about their daily needs and things, be equitable and get consistent outcomes. The department facilitates to address each and every person grievances and difficulties. Key aim is to ensure food security for poor people, supply of food grains and other items at subsidized rates to the PHH and antyodaya families in Bihar state. The department looks after the fact that common people have easy access to the details about the distribution of food grains, Kirosene oil and LPG.
