Department of Education, Government of Bihar
has been continuously working towards achieving the goal of
Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE)
as envisioned under the Millennium Development Goals.
Although Bihar has made significant progress in improving literacy
over the years, the literacy rate still requires considerable
enhancement. To achieve the vision of
100% literacy with quality education,
the Department has launched several schemes, reforms,
and motivational initiatives focused on strengthening
education at every level.
