SCHEMES OF DISASTER MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT
- Procurement of Motor Boats etc. in Flood Prone Districts : For rescue and relief work during floods, procurement of motor boats and accessories has been planned for 28 flood-prone districts along with Rohtas, Aurangabad and Arwal. The proposed outlay is ₹34.00 lakh.
- Establishment of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) : A dedicated, well-equipped and professionally trained force on the pattern of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been proposed to strengthen disaster response mechanisms.
- Construction of Warehouses : Construction of warehouses in flood-prone districts to safely store rescue and relief materials for emergency situations.
- Emergency Operation Centres (EOC) : Emergency Operation Centres are proposed in all 38 districts to ensure better coordination during disasters with an outlay of ₹845.00 lakh.
- Procurement of Life Jackets, Mahajals & Tents : Life jackets, rescue nets, tents and other rescue equipment are proposed for flood-prone districts with an outlay of ₹200.00 lakh.
- Communication Equipment : Procurement and maintenance of satellite phones, GPS devices, walkie-talkies and other communication systems with an outlay of ₹200.00 lakh.
- Early Disaster Warning System : Development of an early warning system to alert vulnerable populations before disasters with an outlay of ₹50.00 lakh.
- Capacity Building : Training of engineers, architects, police, home guards, community volunteers, boatmen, masons and other stakeholders with an outlay of ₹1700.00 lakh.
- Awareness Generation : Awareness campaigns through print, electronic media, seminars, workshops, posters, pamphlets and Disaster Reduction Day celebrations with an outlay of ₹100.00 lakh.
- Modernization of Disaster Management Office : Modern office infrastructure and equipment for better disaster coordination with an outlay of ₹165.270 lakh.
- Disaster Management Plan : Preparation and implementation of the State Disaster Management Plan with an outlay of ₹3.00 lakh.
