Complaint Submission

Public representatives and citizens may submit complaints directly to the Vigilance Department or its agencies, including:

  • Investigation Bureau
  • Special Vigilance Unit (SVU)
  • Technical Examiner's Cell (TEC)

Complaints may be submitted personally, through written petitions, or those received through the Hon'ble Chief Minister's grievance redressal mechanism.

Enquiry Process

Complaints involving corruption or disproportionate assets are examined at the Secretariat level.

  • Verification of the complaint.
  • Confirmation from the complainant.
  • Submission of affidavit and supporting evidence.
  • Assignment to the appropriate Vigilance agency for enquiry.
Monitoring & Follow-up

Complaints relating to administrative irregularities are forwarded to the concerned Administrative Department, District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police, or Divisional Commissioner for enquiry.

After receipt of enquiry reports, the Vigilance Department examines the findings and recommends appropriate action. The Department continuously monitors compliance and follow-up action taken by the concerned authorities.

Administrative Authority

The Principal Secretary, Vigilance Department, exercises oversight on vigilance-related matters across Government Departments. Administrative Departments are responsible for:

  • Initiating disciplinary proceedings.
  • Instituting criminal proceedings where applicable.
  • Granting prosecution sanction against Government employees.
  • Implementing recommendations made by the Vigilance Department.
