🏆 Achievements
An additional Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge has been created in Patna for expeditious disposal of cases recommended by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, in connection with the Hon'ble Patna High Court.
Four additional Special Courts of Additional District and Sessions Judges have been created in Patna for expeditious disposal of fodder scam cases of the Animal Husbandry Department investigated by CBI under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
Fourteen Family Courts have been notified in district headquarters namely Gaya, Chapra, Darbhanga, Saharsa, Purnea, Monghyr, Bhojpur, East Champaran, West Champaran, Siwan, Begusarai, Samastipur, Katihar and Rohtas under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme for speedy disposal of family disputes.
The Court of Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate Munsif at Bikramganj has been transferred to Sasaram, while the Court of Judicial Magistrate has been shifted to Bikramganj Sub-Divisional Headquarters.
The establishment of the Court of District and Sessions Judge at Jamui has been successfully completed.

It is proposed to establish
six new Family Courts
at district headquarters during the financial year
2005–06
.
The districts identified for this purpose are:
Nawada, Madhepura, Nalanda, Sitamarhi, and Gopalganj.
