CCF Information Technology

Information and Communication Technology cell was created in the Environment and Forest Department, Government of Bihar, with the following Objective. Creation of ICT Cell and establishment of data centre, consisting of datastorage servers and application servers, for deployment of software applications and data base respectively. A scheme of application of Forest Management Information System in the department was approved by the Government of Bihar and funds were made available from Durgawati Funds.	-Chief Conservator of Forest (I T)

FMIS Project has been conceived for systematic planning and monitoring of forestry and other related activities for systematic storage and retrieval of MIS and Geo-spatial data.
"Project steering and monitoring committee” has been set up to review the project and fulfill the objectives.
The project aims to cover 8 circles, 28 divisions and 116 range offices.
Establishment of ICT cell:
H/W and software has been installed at Aranya Bhawan, Riding road Patna-14
Manpower for GIS and MIS has been deployed for the project.
Leased line has been installed at Aranyya Bhawan
Hardware support:
All Officers up to Range officer level in the Department have been provided with Laptops and Desktops. All Divisions and Circles will be provided color or Black and white laser printers as per requirement Software support: Microsoft windows License has been provided to all the officers for use in their laptops and desktops.
Development of Different softwares:
Under Accounting & Budgeting Management System (ABMS), e-Lekha software has been prepared for the monitoring of Allotment and expenditure under Plan, Non Plan, CAMPA, Durgawati SFDA and other Schemes. Besides accounts submission is also monitored.
Under Forest Plantation Management System (FPMS) two softwares and apps namely, e-Nursery and e-Plantation have been prepared for monitoring of the progress of work in different nurseries and plantations.
Under Human Resource Management System (HRMS), a database has been created for different employees of the department.
GIS Mapping of Forest and Non-Forest Area along with Plantations has been carried out and different layers have been created .
Under Protection Information Management System (PIMS) an app e- Forest Offence is being developed.
Under Protected Area Network Management System (PANMS) a software and app called e-Wildlife is being developed.
Training on e-Greenwatch has been conducted for all DFOs twice through NIC-HQ
Training on e-Plantation, e-Nursery and e-Pragati has been conducted for all field officers at Patna – 2 Times
Training through VC has also been conducted for field formations
Continuous support for field formation through ICT cell for software operations
