Social Welfare Department, is an important Department of the state for the uplifment of Womens, Children, Divyangjan, Old age people and other deprived section for the protection and promotion of the society. The main objective of which to prepare and implement policies, action plans and programs as per the constitution, various Acts, Gazette and Rules for the integrated progress and development of mentioned groups. Social Welfare Department has been constituted as an independent department under govt. order no. 602 dated 20-03-2007. After its reorganization, four separate directorates came to exist under it.
